Is the JDM B18C5 Type R motor good for boost?

Ya well i am ordering a type r motor on monday morning!!!!!!! and i was curious if that motor would be good to run boost with or is it too much compression?

pdiggitydogg 04-25-2004 11:44 AM

the compression and overlap are a little too high for my tastes
but therms runs boost on his

pdiggitydogg 04-25-2004 11:52 AM

Very fun to drive man. I wish I raced yesterday at NOPI, considering there were a bunch of slow ass cars there. All I can say is, better make sure your suspension is decent. Mine is not so I loose traction each time I hit 6000-7000 RPM. Tires just spins.

Well i got pretty good suspension. New springs and struts so i think i am pretty good.

pdiggitydogg 04-25-2004 01:04 PM

is it too low for a traction bar, therms?

I think that I can still squeeze it under. 2 blown stock front struts doesnt help neither. Time for some Tein SS or H&R cups....

Yeah mine looses traction also but its not that powerfull and it bounces like shit. I hate it but my bro got some nice teins for it and i cant wait.
