d16a6 tranny in a d18y8

I have a d16a6 engine and tranny from a 90' crx si and I want to know if it will fit on a d16y8 engine. Also if anyone whats to buy the d16a6 its for sale????

and whats the diffrence between a d16a6 manual tranny and a d16y8????

i believe the '90 crx had a cable actuated clutch while 92 and later civics have a hydraulic. theres a conversion kit out there but thats just too much work/money for a tranny thats 14years old, imo. just go to the www.thepartstrader.com and look for a y8 tranny(thats where I got a "98EX tranny for $150) if you need a new one. Do you EVEN need a new one?

you can also put a free ad on that site to sell your a6 engine/tranny.

yea, me my brother and my friend all got sci's they smooth out the idles pretty good, not a big power mod, but nice to have

I mounted the box right in front of the coolent resevoir, I made a custom bracket out of aluminum, i mounted my brothers (civic also) right in the middle of the firewall on top

my nitrous kit was in the way
