DAR? wow you got some clucking skill right there. How did you think to come up with this magnificent upgrade, and how much did it improve your braking?

lol I was beginning to think no one cared!
I thought of the mod while doing the rear disc change-over a few weeks ago. I knew that the ex/si mc/booster would be ok, but I had always wanted more braking feedback through the pedal. I'd heard of others doing the itr mc upgrade but I couldnt find any how-to's or even a review of it. So I just decided to do it and find out. I really did want a usdm piece so the side mount would be on the left side, but couldnt find one when I wanted it (I wanted it like right now and sohfast said they were out of stock). eBay came through again in a rare piece and it was even backed by the seller being a member I'd seen on H-T...how could it go wrong? After a 3 days it arrived and I started The install Id rate at a 5/10 for difficulty only because the booster is a big pain in the ass to get in there, and you have to then bleed the brakes, which is just tedious. I noticed a LARGE difference in braking between the civic and itr mc/bb's With the itr setup the pedal is a lot firmer and the distance it travels for max power is lessened. Right now Im running ex fronts and gsr rears. I know the braking would further be upgraded w/ larger front calipers, but Im really not interested in that right now, as its a lot of work...actually its not but Im lazy |
very nice!
i was a little busy today too, I replaced my tie rod ends, steering feels way better, not as twitchy as before. then installed my jimfab traction bars, so hopefully no more damn wheel hop! |
Tie rod ends arent too bad
I just did mine back in january. Definately a good fix. Im looking forward to your reveiw on the traction bars! |
as soon as it stops raining in this damned desert i'll be able to test them out. this sucks, i was supposed to go the track tonight.
