Killed a beat-down 240
 

Not really the best story, but I figured since I'm new and don't really have a lot of posts I'd share.

I wasn't looking for a street race, and my car isn't even modded so I don't know why people think I'm out to race, but this guy in his rusted out 240 kept revving the crap out of that bitch and grinning at me. At the light, I took off slowly, but when I saw him get on it I went WOT. Pretty much waxed him, but I know that's not really too braggable...

What makes these kids in old, slow cars want to go around racing everyone?

he does it for the fun of it. As for bragging rights... read my chip story.. and compair.... this isnt braggable.

Depending on the year of 240 its very likely that you did beat him with all he had. But if its anything like my 240 then the driver sucks. But either way good kill.

i'm taking offense about your "old-ass cars" comment... sorry us "kids" can't afford your car. first of all i'm 17... got my first car @ 16 which was a 98 civic... not very old... paid for all myself
same with my integra but it's a 94... which is old. but it's faster than your integra... and u got a 2002. don't hate on the old cars... especially 240's, they're hella awesome cars.

are you talking about his rsx type s? because i dont think that you knew thats what he drove.....

RSX is basically the next generation integra isn't it? As for old ass cars, I can name a number that would shame you and your RSX.

It's when people say things like this.. coming from a car that really isn't all that fast in itself.. be a little more humble.

what number is that? the 510? ;) or perhaps the Z28? ;) I can name other if you wish.....but i would be beating a dead horse because i can name cars that will kill every car you name too.....big deal

How can you hate the 240? They are awesome cars, have you drove one that was tuned the way they should be. And for the record 240's can keep up if not beat a lot of cars out there with very little aftermarket parts. It depends on driver and track conditions. Oh and as far as the "old cars comment" goes believe it or not some of the older cars out there have a lot more potential than the newer cars that are coming out, as well as cheaper mods that are still of high quality.

i dislike them, why becuase i can. as for driving one: yes i have driven 3 different ones. i like the S15s'. but thats it.

um i knew he drives a Type-S... becuz i said his Integra.... if u didnt know an RSX was an Integra then get out off this board. and my LS ran a 13.7 last weekend (turbo) so i'm pretty sure it's fast. blew sum seals in it though which i'm replacing today... bleh!! :pukey

I modded my chevy just after i turned 18, and it doesn't look the greatest, not all shiny or anything. But my 400 ponies under the hood could take any honda in my town.
Now im getting outta the racing aspect of driving, and i want a toned down civic 4DR.

I agree. I love 240/Silvia's, apart from a Trueno, Pulsar GTi-R, or Skyline there is nothing that looks as good or is more JDM than a good Silvia.

And they make such sick drifting cars, they look good doing it too (esp. the s15 silvia)
