books.. help....
ok so i have a paper to write... lets say its long and due alot sooner than i'd like. i have to write it on 4 books in american literature from 1877 on. i'd like them to in some way relate to america durring this time, or be classics that have a decent amount of info on them..
the first book im doing is The Jungle (about early american meat packing industry and the lack of regulation) so i need any and all books anyone can think of. oh.. last semster i had the same project but from 1877 and earlier. i did uncle toms cabin, johnny tremain, the scarlet letter, and adventures of tom sawyer just for an idea of what is needed |
did u try the english dept at your college ? i know they would give us some ideas at CSU
|
little late for that. i will be able to write the paper fine once i got 4 solid books to do it on. but im just braindead right now
|
*bump*
i got my second book now also... but still need ideas for 2 more |
1984 and brave new world...
maybe animal farm somewhere in there, or of mice and men...? |
ohhh animal farm and 1984.. i actually read both of those. its an american history class though... i wonder if those are considered "american" books
*edit* im going with no... they were both written and take place in england.:o |
If I was american..I might be able to help you, but I'm not....
So here's a bump anyway |
