Dawn of the Dead

This movie was so kick ass!
Tons of action and zombie killing fun. Lots and lots of "oh damn", "holy sh!t", etc moments throughout the whole film.

I loved it.

AkimboStylee 03-19-2004 06:45 PM

Fatal070 03-19-2004 08:08 PM

Phoreum 03-19-2004 08:14 PM

Was it like 28 days later?

pdiggitydogg 03-19-2004 08:27 PM

I guess, but on a scale 100x larger and a better ending

Phoreum 03-19-2004 09:26 PM

That's good then. Thanks. But I thought the part at the mansion towards the ending of 28 days later was good.

Awwwww muthafuckin yeah. I'm actually working all weekend but I'm definitely going to see it during the week (spring break biotches). I love the original and the follow up Day Of The Dead. I've been downloading zombie movies like crazy since I saw it being remade. Sickest so far: Cannibal Holocaust. Ya gotta love those Italians. City Of The Dead, Zombie, Cannibal Holocaust, or anything by Ruggero Deodato or Lucio Fulci is gold. My apology...I'm a horror/zombie flick freak.

And Anna...it's not something to be understood. There's just something in our brains that seems to think insanely gratuitous violence commited by or against the undead is hilarious.

GT so see it!
NOW NOW NOW!
So fucking good.
I went last night...I actually want to see it again!

OMFG! Just saw it tonight and just about creamed myself (bizarre...what with it being a horror flick and all). The feel of the movie was perfect for a zombie flick and, although it's essentially just a remake of a damn near 20 year old movie, it brought a lot of new things to the original concept. Could've done without some of the characters...ironically the ones that waste each other. Here's why I love these type of movies: the computer effects, if any, are kept to a bare minimum. It's all about the talent of the special FX guy and in this case it was top notch (they even gave Savini a cameo as the cop on TV who says they've "got a twitcher"). Honestly one of the best horror flicks I've seen in years...possibly ever. I think it even tops the original...though not by much. I'm wondering (more like hoping) if they'll remake Day Of The Dead and if Romero will finally make his promised Twilight Of The Dead.

Sorry...more ramblings from a horror junkie.
