No, flowers suck! Women like flowers, but I never buy them for the ladies. Simply because they are expensive, good for nothing, and die within a few days. I'm not gonna spend $50 on some f*cking colored leaves so she can look at them for a few f*cking days, I'm sorry, but if I'm gonna spend money on a woman, I'm gonna buy her something worth having that will be useful for a long time...

I hate flowers

My favorite flower is a hibiscus (obviously since I have one tattooed on me). I'm a big fan of tropical flowers.


Oh and guys, there is absolutely nothing wrong or less manyly about guys thinking flowers are cool.:rolleyes:

The problem is that too many girls don't care about romantic things anymore...makes for a more boring and....formulaic relationship...

Although....I would never want my guy to buy me flowers. I agree with Highlander....I'd much rather have something that isn't going to die in a couple of days. Unless he bought me a plant that I could actually take care of and what not. Then that would be fine.

I'm much more of a sentimental person than that. I'd want my guy to put a lil bit of thought into his gift giving.

I personally don't like flowers, but if the gurl does and it makes her feel special, i think I can spare the money.

Ahhhh...once again an antiquated ideal of romance surfaces. Women who like getting flowers are usually tied into an old idea of what romance should be. Not to say I won't buy a girl flowers...it's just that most of the women out there seem very lackluster at the idea of them. I remember spending around $60 on some purple orchids for a girl once...they were dead within a week. There's just so much more out there that's original and new than buying flowers. If that's what your girl likes, then that's great, but try and think of something with more sentiment and meaning than some dumbass plants that will surely be dead in short order.

I think when guys give girls flowers, it's the sweetest thing in the world. That's your one way ticket to the bedroom.

I agree about the flowers thing as well, but it is the thought that counts. I'm not big into flowers myself, but if a guy bought me flowers, I'd be very appreciative. Just as good, if not better is just a single flower. It still shows thought without breaking the wallet. And since some are sharing, my favorite flower is a tiger lily.

I totally agree with all of you abotu buying flowers because they die so fast, but like I stated before, if the gurl likes them, I can spare the cash.

Of course I was in no way thinking of any of the stuff that's been brought up, I just think flowers are cool.

But to stay "on topic" :rolleyes: a happy girl is a happy me, but buying flowers for a girl wouldn't be my first choice of things to do for her unless I knew she really liked getting flowers.

It was nice when I had a girlfriend I would every once in a while buy her a red rose for no reason other than I could, and it always seemed to get on her good side. It's just a show of care from time to time, to let her know that you are thinking of her. I have no problem spending that extra money on flowers (plus Publix is only like 6 bucks or so for a few red roses lol;) )

..sigh;( ....I need a girl...getting drunk all the time is getting old, especially since I only get drunk with my guy friends, very seldom is one of our female friends around during these binges...;( ;( ;(

Hibiscus are very nice... grew up in HI where they are all over. Not to many in LA.

I personally like buying a gal flowers. It makes them soooo happy, and to be the focus point of their happiness is unbeatable.

Haha....looks like flowers aren't liked too much around these parts....and no, I'm sick as a dog and gots too much work to do, I guess sleep deprivation and lots of drinking for a few days wasn't such a grand idea afterall.

I just think flowers are awesome, definitely some of the more beautiful of nature's creations. And I like that picture. But I guess I'll resist posting anymore flower pics up, haha. ;)

nah dude. If you think flowers are awesome, you'll go crazy in Spain. Around May-July time frame, the whole country side gets filled up with red and yellow flowers. I went to Madrid last year and even the city is covered by it......... It's badass!:yes:

Having women around when getting twisted is generally not a good idea. Sure, your female friends are great as friends...but maybe not as a girlfriend (or else you'd be considering pursuing them as such). Then before you know it stuff's happening and you're waking up in a bed next to someone you're having nightmares about. Trust me...I've been there.
