just got a new clutch in the civic it just like driving a new car it's so wonderful. didn't go performance clutch. just got oem parts. along with that just got a new catback exhaust havn't gotten on it yet breakin the clutch in first:yes:

sohc_vtec 2NR 03-03-2004 05:22 PM

why did you decide to not get a performance clutch?

pdiggitydogg 03-03-2004 05:28 PM

go with exedy?

chefmaster21 03-04-2004 03:18 PM

i didn't go performance for one price and 2nd i don't race at the track and once in a while i will run someone other than that i don't race. their are other peformance wise mods i would rather have.

pdiggitydogg 03-04-2004 03:20 PM

but a good clutch is a very wise decision depending on what sort of go-fast-goodies you may have in the future

chefmaster21 03-04-2004 03:24 PM

well in the near future like next couple of weeks header not real sure after that i did go oem on the clutch at least i didn't go some crazy aftermarket brand

pdiggitydogg 03-04-2004 03:45 PM

how much did you pay

chefmaster21 03-04-2004 04:06 PM

180 for the clutch from honda and 300 to get it put it

pdiggitydogg 03-04-2004 04:41 PM

not to rain on your parade...

1/2 what you paid for a clutch that is just as good as oe honda

chefmaster21 03-04-2004 05:22 PM

that dosn't really bother me, cause if you were to just take a car to the dealer or like goodyear or something it would be almost a thousand. so i think 500 is a good deal im no complaning

AzCivic 03-04-2004 06:15 PM

500 is about the average price for a clutch job. paying almost a grand would be rediculous.

PeterV1228 03-06-2004 08:22 PM

wow i just picked up a new(well, almost new) ACT clutch for under 200, why on earth would it be 300 to put it in?

are u kidding? Its easy as hell. The hardest part is dropping the tranny. Just remember to use thread locker and torque the pressure plate to specs.

First get the factory Honda manual. Then learn how to do engine work.

pdiggitydogg 03-08-2004 09:05 AM

its not "HARD" to put a clutch in...more of a pain in the ass
