wickedly fast Civic street cars!!

Ok this Black Civic originally is a DX model. It is now an H22 turbo'd monster. It has a T3/T4 turbo. When the car was N/A it ran 13.20's at the track with just H/i/e, ecu tune, and Z rated Kumho tires. The guy that owns this blew it up about six months ago with his turbo running 7 pounds of boost. It is now back together with aftermarket sleeves, forged pistons, eagle rods, ect. It currently has about 400 miles on it. Once it is broken in the guy that owns this plans on 20 pounds of boost (atleast thats what he claims). I just call the guy Stephen Papadakis (cuz hes crazy)

Nice..... HP numbers?

blind34_1 02-22-2004 08:25 PM

ah...the second-hand "this one guy I know who's friend who's brother said he's probably going to do this to his car" story...

I don't doubt that is a fast civic (built h22, *nuts in pants*), but I wanna see track times and hp numbers.

very cool though....

Lovin the motor, I wonder what kind of axles he has to hold that type of power. Gotta lose the headlights and rims though...

is that your buddy you told me about on the phone ? did he modify the front caster ? it looks like it has at least 4 degrees of positive caster to me. that should handle sweet

the H22 only weighs 85 pounds more than the ITR engine. So not too much. Your prelude prolly weights atleast 700 more pounds than his car. Not to mention he prolly has done all his mods plus the price of his car for less than for what u bought your car for (most likely). He fabricated almost everything for his car himself.

yup thats him. It doesnt look to have positive caster to me. It does have some negative. he's using 40 series tires on 16 inch rims so he has a bit more wheel fender space than normal. Maybe thats what u are seeing.

Honda_Tengoku 02-23-2004 04:08 AM

ok as far as the rims and headlights. Well he likes them. I guess thats all that matters. As far as wanting to see HP numbers, he said he would let me know as soon as he gets it on the dyno. To be honest we might go up and have both of our cars tuned at the same time (depends if I get my car together fast enough). So we will see on the dyno numbers for everyone. As far as track times the car ran natuarally aspirated on kumho tires a 13.2 with just i/h/e, Spoon (variant) ECU, ohh and I forgot to mention a factory LSD. At the track he was destroying skylines, and Ford Cosworth turbos. Also one thing to note is this track is horrible! I should know I have raced on it. U get better traction on the street and thats no lie! Tracks back in the states are alot faster. I know my car ran 4 tenths slower in the quarter mile, and 2 to 3 tenths slower in the 60 foot than it did in the states, so if that tells u anything. So that car should have been a street tired 12 second car (back in the states). Anyways that was before the turbo. I will keep u all posted as soon as I get the numbers.

Very nice...impressive the say the least. thanks for sharing and look forward to the Dyno #'s and new track results...

ChrisCantSkate 02-23-2004 02:41 PM

damn... thats a pretty small radiator for a turbo'ed h22. but looks amazing besides that. im interested in dyno #'s too

yeah thats what I though when I saw an H22 swapped into the Civic. Believe it or not the stock D series radiator cools the H22 just fine. Obviously this guy is a bit extreme so he opted to go with an all aluminum one from NOPI cuz he knew he would eventually need it when he starts pushing lots of boost.

Would love to see the pics, but we-todd-did racing says you stole their bandwith and i can't see the pictures. Now I'm sad ;(
