new guy

what up!? this is my first post here. just want to say hey!

Also, this might be a dumb question, but the only way to find out is to ask, is there any reason to put an intake on a 81 civic? it has a carburetor... and i would like to get an ingine swap. would a b16 do any good or what might be better? would that even fit in my car?

thanks

hey welcome to the site. As for an intake im not to sure man. As for the engine swap. If your motor is a b series then you should be fine. Im unsure of your engine coad though. The B16 would be awsome your for your car.

your engine is D so itll a swap will complicated kinda.

but heads up do a B18 B16 are torqueless imo.

as far as intake i have no clue. im sure it wouldnt hurt but its still only a little HP gain.

my bro said that if i put intake on it might just restrict air flow...
think thats possible?

I think it won't hurt it but i wouldn't be investing money in a 81. It's 23 years old car. Is it moded at all or anything?

welcome to HS...an intake as mentioned at minimal would be a slight gain if any...better to just save up for an engine swap.
good luck and hope to see you aroud the boards...
