Turbo Stratus
 

My dept head came in to work today, babbling about his stratus again. Apparently it's the same block that's in a neon, and the internals are rated up to 350hp. If they're upgraded to forged pistons it's rated up to 600hp. Apparently this company called Hahn motosports makes the turbos for the neon and were like "ummmmmm yeah... it's the same engine, but we've never put one in a stratus before o_O". He was laughin and was like "man, I'm so excited.... I was lookin at like carbon fiber hoods and stuff." I about busted my ass laughin thinkin about his stratus with a carbon fiber hood. What a ****in goofball.

For some reason that reminds me of the time we took a Yugo and, strapped it to a dyno, and sprayed N2O down the carb. It made a whoppin 100hp.

i dont think i could get excited about finding out anything i have is "the same as a neon"

I mean personally I think it's cool but going to cost him out of the ass for any mods he does..I know they wil definitly bust him a new asshole if they make a kit for that..lol lol:yes: :yes:

HAHA oh they make it... ::sifty eyes:: or that's what he says. It's gonna cost him like 2200 though. I think his stratus now get like 120hp. My busted gay oil leakin civic gets that. I think it's freakin hilarious he want's to turn his daily driver stratus with a 4000w amp in the back on TrUbo WiTH tEH sPeEdHoels.

Well people ask the same question about hondas.. Why?!!? WHY, would u turbo a HONDA as opposed to a camaro or GT stang that has more power than a turboed civic??

As said above.. to each his own.

stratus' blow head gaskets on their own(just like the the neons do) they need absolutely no help in doing so.

Why not just drop in a motor from an SRT-4. That way you *might* get a little more reliability with your extra power.

the SRT-4 plant is actually build really interestingly, i think the motor will be stout, but the rest of the car will fall apart
