B18B1 Long R Short
 

which block has more power and what year integra has a long block and which one has the short block? Also whats the different between a B18B1 and a B18A1

the b18a1 came in 90-93 integra ls's and the b18b1 came in 94-01 integra ls's. i think they have the same power output tho. also for the long/short block they refer to if the engine comes with a head and ecu or not.

Yeah, short block means just the bottom of the engine. long block is the bottom and the head.

B18b should be 140hp, B18a is 130hp.

could be one of the ever so popular, "I don't wanna understand what it is or how it works, I just wanna say I have it" people.

the B18a, 90-91 tegs have 130hp and the 92-93 tegs have 140hp due to having a slightly different head. The B18b has 142 hp
