Nothing here, but that's some pretty crazy stuff going on.

ugh, I just got my power back now bit it really screwed up somthing with my computer. It takes forever to start up then I have no icons or start menu on the desktop.....any ideas?

well i had no power last night. i gotta start cleaning up the freezer now :mad:, and put all my stuff back in order

I had no power Monday night/Tuesday morning, big storm rolled through Austin and basically tore up the tiny patch of the city that I live in, everything else was fine.....freaky.

This power thing in the NE is pretty crazy. It's shut a lot of my work down.....gotta love global networks. :rolleyes:

Yup I was definately affected! Got power back at ~4am. Nothing special to really report on what happened with me or anything though..some assholes don't know what a 4way stop is though..:mad:

just got it back...and my first stop...hst

i think it's funny that the mayor of new yourk blamed it on us in canada

I never heard any blame going around.....canada said lighting hit Niagra Falls power plant by me but there was no lightning, US says it was a surge so all of the switches tripped to save the equipment.

maybe it was that computer virus........o_0 that worm.

18 hrs i had no power then today had to fight for 7 hrs to fill my tank of gas:mad:

mine went out... but it was cause of a storm and it was only for a few mins.. lol

I was typing a response over on h-t... friggen computer made an UGLY noise and shut off.. came back on I shut it off... then everything went out for a second or two again...

then it all came back and stayed... watched it all on tv...

My wife's whole office was freaking out thinking it was terrorists and shiot...

I thought so for a second then I was like... oh yeah... our powergrid eats dirt and it probobly just pooped the bed.... just a semi-educated guess but apparently a correct one.

heh if you read the newspapers today they suspect either a powerplant in eastlake ohio (cleveland), or the GM Stamping plant in Parma OH (yeah still Cleveland) were responsible for the whole thing. so far we had power for the past 36 hours and no interuptions.

I know what happened, My cousin lives in Spanish Harlem...He has only 2 elec. outlets in his studio...He said he was trying to connect his PS2 to his third surge/extension when WHAM! his sh!t sparked up and the Entire grid shutdown. He is currently under investigation.
