Headlight Strobe Install question

i just bought headlight strobes for my civic, i got a 98 LX where the hell could i drill a hole to place the strobe in the headlights?

whereever you want...
i drilled mine on the inside "side" of the headlights...right between the first and second reflector..

i suggest you open up your headlights and drill from the inside, that way you won't have little plastic fuzz on the inside of your headlights AND you won't risk damaging the reflector...

if you want i can take a picture to show you

uh...what is a headlight strobe?

DavidH 08-11-2003 01:19 AM

i *think* its just a strobe light that gets mounted inside the headlight housing. Just be careful to seal up the hole well, dont want any fogging....

yea.. use the clear silicone sealant, and LOTS of it. this will ensure proper seal :PP

tell me how the heck to take out the headlight, i took out the top two bolts and it wouldnt budge, and a picture would help thanks

for the 98 LX im about 90% sure the bumper has to come off before the headlights will come out.

there is another bolt on the outer side of the headlight (turn signal side). you'll have to pull part of the fenderwell plastic to get to it. i believe there's only 3 bolts per headlight, but i could be wrong...i'll take the picture tomorrow for you

and i didn't have to take the front bumper out..

DavidH 08-13-2003 11:34 AM

i was wrong then =P isn't a first lol

You're gonna have to take the bumper off, there's a bolt on the outside and one in the front.

i didn't have to...
