yeah thats what I thought, just wasnt sure and have never seen one close up... its dissapointing they didnt flush mount it into the hood...
|
Here's another angle........sorta reminds me of the sparrow in the grill of the Bentley in mischief 3000.

how would it catch air for the intercooler? |

I think he meant more like the mustang's scoop. They have a little depression .. that sort of channels air to the "scoop" (although i think the mustang's scoop is non-functional.)

I believe he means the surrounding area of the hood scoop... l It looks like it's just plopped on there... no filling etc. |
^yup:yes:

for the fourth time, I mean the space between the edge of the scoop and the hood itself... here I traced it in red for you...

and WHY would you want to build a hood for an STi and also for the WRX?? 2 different sized scoops and FWIW that's my friends car. jeremy |
Exactly what HondaTech627 is saying. The scoop is made to be easily interchangable (between WRX, STi, and aftermarket). If it were molded, you couldn't do that. I think it looks fine, unless you want to get into the nitty-gritty. Then again, if you want to comment on the looks of the WRX, I can think of alot of other things to bash on it (cough*bug-eyed headlights*cough).
