I just got a pair of 12" mtx thunder 3000 woofers for like $10 i was wondering if anyone else here had these and if they pound alright or what, and if anyone know the specs on them like max power handling how big of an enclosure etc. thanks in advance

i'd put those in a .75, maybe 1 cu ft box each, sealed.

Now I don't exactly get how amp power is divided between to subs so what would probably be the highest powered amp i can run so it sounds good but doesn't destroy the subs.

dang thats a good deal , my amp is a rockford fosgate 300s 150x2 pumping into my crappy punch z's and it sounds pretty good. i suggest getting an amp in the range from 100-200 watts.

my rule is get an amp slightly over the RMS power of each sub....so if both together were 400watts RMS get a 500watt RMS amp......then each sub will get 50watts over there rms power during peak music notes.....

i assume there both single 4ohm ......get an amp that runs from 350-500 watts RMS at 2ohms

k thanks any good companies that sell good amps that don't cost more than a few hundred.

lanzar makes decent stuff.......i think i saw a 600 on ebay for like $80 or something.....but i'd get the 800 just incase cause i dont know much about the new vibe series....they may be overrated

I ended up getting the Alpine MRD-500 amp it hits pretty hard for crappy subs i should be getting 12" type r's.

it was an open box so i got it for $300 the store gave me a two year warranty on it plus it still has the factory warranty so i don't think i have anything to worry about with the open box deal.
