Installing lowering springs
I am planning on putting some lowering springs on my LX. Are there any good brands out there that are not too expensive. Also, I am not real mechanically inclined (computers are my forte)...does anyone know of a good how-to for installing lowering springs? I don't see any in this forum

check the suspension part of the forum because they have all kindas of good products to use

ground controls
skunk2 its very simple indeed. There is a how-to on it in the step-by-step section if im not mistaken. You are planning on changing the shocks right? (if you havent already) |
no, I wasn't planning on getting new shocks and struts. I'm only planning on a 1.5 front and 1.3 drop in the rear and I've heard that you don't necessarily need to get new shocks unless you're lowering >2"
I didn't see any spring how-tos in this forum, but I'll check in the how-to section again |
nah, you dont need shocks unless you are crazy like me with a 2.5 inch drop. your camber should be manageable also since 1.5 isnt necessarily a ""HUGE" drop. pretty average. i'm using progress lowering springs and i love them. you MIGHT want to invest in some adjustable coilovers so you can see where you like your car as far as height goes. the dropzones are a shitty ride, but at least you have the option of adjustment. anywhere from 0 to 4 inches. they are relatively cheap too

whoops...dropped the ball again...i seem to be doing that a lot lately...
springs (not coilovers): Eibach H&R  (very good and very decently priced) Tein Neuspeed |
cool! thanks for all the info. I've heard a lot of good things about eibach springs, so I may just go with those

don't get the sportlines... my buddy ordered eibachs after driving in my car he got sportlines instead of pro-kits and he HATED them.. they were REALLY bouncy...
the prokits are good for all around driving.. they have a light rate for everyday driving but when you load them up they stiffen up like hef on viagra. |
