how?

i was at the theatre's and saw a civic with no handles to open the car...and what are those 2 ring things on the hoods?

When you shave the handles, you use a remote to open the doors.

The hood pins are hood pins ;) They are used to secure the hood down or just for looks on some cars.

You're kidding... right member?

As Accord_EX said, they are "shaved door handles". He has to use a remote which triggers the switch and a mechanism to pop the door open. On the off chance his battery dies, he probably has a switch somewhere hidden on the undercarriage of the car.

^^pins or locks (locks tend to be flatter but serve the same purpose)

I had an X with a lowrider nissan & he had a little switch under the front fenderwell that popped the doors.

It was kinda kewl...unless it was raining, then you got your hand all muddy reachin for it.:paranoid:
