Almost as priceless as that kid who tried to "port and polish" his VW by sucking sand through his intake...

pauls-si 05-15-2003 06:04 AM

ebpda9 05-15-2003 06:52 AM

lol, poor guy:no:

Racing Rice 05-15-2003 07:11 AM

Poor fool..:o

nonovurbizniz 05-15-2003 11:40 AM

that's f*cking horrible... that's just not cool at all... there is NO excuse for that... If I were that kid I'd be driving around Mt. Laurel NJ looking for a z28 with a soon to be dead driver in it.

I would seriously hunt that bastard down and kick his ass. And If any of you know me I'm NOT violent at all... that's just straight obnoxious there is no reason to purposely mis-lead someone like that w/o indicating at all that your joking.

Ignorance is NOT a crime... you too were ignorant about EVERYTHING at one point... the difference is people in your life probobly had the respect to not make you learn the hard way.

SolPol 05-15-2003 11:41 AM

No good.

I remember the sand through the intake guy too. I think that was worse.

msvtec14 05-15-2003 11:51 AM

Poor kid.

ShEaNy 05-15-2003 11:58 AM

LOL..DAMNN:o :o :o :o

msvtec14 05-15-2003 12:08 PM

I think it was pretty funny when the threat of power sanding those other guys' balls was made.

SolPol 05-15-2003 12:16 PM

I did LOL at that one.

pdiggitydogg 05-15-2003 01:01 PM

why are there so many dumb people in the world?? Seriously...that has to take negative smarts

pbateson 05-15-2003 01:18 PM

That's bad! Poor person. :(

94_AcCoRd_EX 05-15-2003 02:40 PM

Its funny that the guy didn't get a clue when they said to sand the whole car, but I really think its bullshit that someone would post bad advice without a j/k or something.

DumbMoFo 05-15-2003 08:09 PM

Sucks for him, but at least I got a laugh out of it.

hmmmm no i dont think you would hunt him down.

msvtec14 05-16-2003 10:48 AM

I DO feel bad for that kid and all because he really f*cked up his car but come on. Common sense.

nonovurbizniz 05-16-2003 11:55 AM

If people fall for blinker fluid why the hell wouldn't they fall for this? at least blinker fluid just makes you look like a loser to a bunch of people you'll probobly never see again (guys at the store you ask). saying it ok to sand down you paint is just malicous. there's no need for mis-information like that.

If a person is stupid enough to do that then it's their own fault. You cannot blame the guy who made the joke.

We all throw sarcasm out every now and then. I have a hard time believing that, that guy (Z28) would honestly think someone would go do something so stupid. Sometimes we tend to take ignorance for granted. Im not saying what he did was right, but I could understand that a bad joke turned serious when he probably didnt intend it to.

nonovurbizniz 05-16-2003 01:28 PM

I see what your saying and it's possible but the fact that he came back and bacically said F you to the kid is just gay... could've at least been like... Sorry didn't realize you'd take me seriously.

spoogenet 05-19-2003 08:31 AM

I can more easily see someone falling for blinker fluid. C'mon, most people know nothing about cars so you can really pull a lot over on the majority of drivers if it sounds even remotely technical. How do you think some mechanics stay in business? Replace a few flux capacitors here and there and you're rolling in the money.

BUT, sandpaper and paint are way beyond cars. Who here has made it to driving age without knowing what sandpaper is? Who here wouldn't be able to look at 80 grit and see what it would do to your paint? Considering what it would do to your skin, you should suspect paint isn't too different a story. If that person believed 80 grit would give his car a lustrous shine then he's just plain stupid and gullible, that asshole is probably doing this idiot a favor by teaching him a good lesson. People that stupid are the same ones who give thousands of dollars to the Nigerian bank scam. There's a huge difference between lack of technical knowledge (blinker fluid) and total lack of intuitive ability (80 grit).

I'm not saying that guy on the board was a nice person about it, I don't think his initial post was too bad but he could have been slightly more compassionate.....then again, stupid things happen to stupid people.

I'm also not entirely convinced that this person didn't play along well for the whole thing.....
