I got robbed

While my brothers car was at the dealer some one stole the stereo, taillights, emblems and cold air intake, also all my cds. I am so mad about this there are no signs of a break in so someone had a key. I hate thieves:mad:

That really sucks  So was it your car or your brothers?

guywithastang 05-14-2003 02:02 PM

Daviso27 05-14-2003 02:44 PM

if it was at the dealer, who is responsible? You are!

zm_dawg 05-14-2003 02:59 PM

so one of the dealer guys had a key? or some random cilvillian?

guywithastang 05-14-2003 03:16 PM

My guess is the previous owner has a key, what a day;(

ShEaNy 05-14-2003 04:06 PM

that really blows. did u leave the car there overnight ? i found mine unlocked with the key in ignition. i took the key and locked the car. the rest was a show:yes:

blind34_1 05-14-2003 09:48 PM

they could've just walked up to the front desk of the dealer and given them your VIN number: instant key with a little social engineering.

that really sucks though, theives can blow me.

I had an amp stole out of my old truvk, I had it in the shop to get a new clutch put in it, and when I left I drove like halfway home turned on the stereo, it sounded really shitty, so I went home and folded my seat forward, gone was my pheonix gold amp and in its place was a crappy BOSS amp, I called the cops. The shop had a new employee that was found to later have my amp, but it had the serial number ground off. So I got reimbursed, but it taught me to take that kind of stuff out when I had to goto the shop. I built an amp rack that had plug in connectors on it that allowed for quick and safe disconnection and removal of my amps and subs.

That sucks ass man. It is, however, quite easy to break into a car without leaving any signs (I was an apprentice to a repo man for a few months...I could do it in about 30 seconds with the right tools). If that was the case just consider yourself lucky the car is still there...if someone knew enough to get in without keys or signs of a break in then they could've easily started with the same lack of fanfare. I wouldn't rule out the guys at the dealership though...some of those guys are pretty shady. Bottom line...do you want a gun? ;)

Go back and try talking to the dealer. Shouldn't they be responsible for things being stolen?

90civiclxryder 05-14-2003 11:58 PM

they are not responsible because you a sign a form that says they are not responsible for lost or stolen items

This sucks so bad! Here, we don't even lock our doors really.....

nonovurbizniz 05-15-2003 10:47 AM

my buddy who works at a station just showed me the scariest thing I've ever seen... you can get into my (or just about any car) in about 10 sec w/o a key or breaking ANYTHING not even disconnecting the lock rods.

blind34_1 05-15-2003 02:11 PM

civics are incredibly easy to get into, sadly...
