japanese translation

does anyone know of a website that you can translate english words/names to japanese symbols?

here
and
here too

I like the first one best because it loads faster...but the 2nd one is really better

If you dont like either of these, just go to google and look up "Japanese-English Dictionary"

Also, here's a Hiragana translator for ya (its the most used alphabet, besides Kanji, and is used for native japanese words)
HIRAGANA-

Where Katakana is used for imported words, like computer.
KATAKANA-

(Sorry, the images dont match...they were the 1st I found)

EDIT**both of these really arent complete...but I dont want to get into a lesson combining characters for different sounds...

ok, so now how do i get the fonts on my computer to read the japanese? i installed the language pack, so it recognizes the symbols, but when i copy/pasted into words, all igot was lil boxes... what do i have to do?

hmm...well it shouldnt do that...if you installed them off the windows cd...you also need the translation pack for Internet Explorer

but if youre trying to translate, just use the 2 images I posted before to turn the word into "Romaji" / our letters...then put those words into the translators...and you'll feel smart that way too ;) (Use Jim Breen's translator for that way)
