Me Vs Hyundia Tiburon
 

Personally i think these things look cool. And i thought that they had like 235 hp or something close to that. But i was driving around last night with my girlfrind and i pulled up next to a tiburon with underbody glow kit and tips onhis duals. and when i changed the songs on the cd player i hear a few low level "revs" i guess you could call it. just one of those "vroom vroom vroom" that is low. and the light changes and i dont think he is racing but then he takes off. so i take 1st to the limiter, 2nd to the limiter and pass about half way through 2nd, then to the top of third. Another light was coming up and i started slowing down and i thougt he was gonna get next to me again and d it where we both know but he didnt....its to bad cause i wanted to tell him i liked his car.

they are only 172hp er sumthing... nothing major 2.7L i think... i worked for key lincoln mercury hyundai for a bit though, the 6 spd versions with a proper launch i can see doing high 14's

i believe it's 180 for the v6
there is also a 4-banger as well that is slow.

^yeah the 4cyl is pathetic...but the v6 is impressive

I ran against an auto one, I am guessing that it was the four, not that fast. I was coming home from my mom's house and I got passed on the highway, then the guy slowed down to match my speed. and signaled that he wanted to race, so we slowed to 60 and he honked 3 times. Need less to say, I wasn't impressed, especially when like 11 miles down the road after I thought the race was oover, hed came flying pass and hit his 4-ways like he had won.... i thought that the race had been for quite some time, but what can you do?

the new tiburons have an available 2.7L V6....170hp/180tq.....but they run high 15's stock on account of their crappy powerband and 3000+ lb curb weight....all the others come with the 4-cyl VR4_Craver mentioned, as far as I know

Damn, at first glance it had resembles a supra or a RX7 (with the headlight conversion). Looks wise they are hot cars.. To bad its still a Hyundai. Because it would be a tempting buy.:o

This kid i know has a 2003, it has 170 something horses and even higher torque, he said he can chirp it in 4th gear ;) . Oh well, just wait til i turn my fuel efficient commuter car into a non-fuel efficient turbo'd commuter car :yes:

:confused: That is insane...A car with only 170 RATED chirping going into 4th? My car that has 160 cant do it going into 3rd.... SUPRAS can only do it into 3rd..... I think that you didnt think before you posted this did you?

his tiburon has the same tranny as my car, plus we have very similar power numbers but my car weighs less, he does not chirp in 4th gear.

your on crack son. Supras have no problem chirping in 4th and i wouldn't be suprised with 5th also.


BTW you car does chirp in 3rd;)
