need help on install of tachometer on 2002 civic
 

I am installing a tachometer on my 2002 civic ex and I need to know where the ignition coil is so I can hook the green wire to the negative side. please help if you can.

it should be inside the dist. cap...

unless you've modified it...

basically you want to tap into the blu/white wire running into the dist. cap... I believe that's the wire you need.

to simplify and just answer YOUR question...

If your distributer cap has 4 wires coming off of it then the coil is INSIDE the cap...

If there are 5 follow the only one that doesn't lead to the engine back to the coil.
