VTEC in reverse?
Is it possible? Yes///No----why?
I dont think so. |
I dont think it would be possible to hit vtec in reverse b/c u can't get the speed in reverse or probably the rpm's to hit vtec...maybe if u have a vafc controller u can make vtec kick in at really low rpm's...so maybe it is possible...some correct me if im wrong...:paranoid:

haha, this thread is funny..
So Miss LadyLude, you want to race me in reverse now?? I think the outcome will be the same.. ;) ok ok, back to the topic.. STOCK ECU = no Vtec in reverse. |

Well i dont think that it is possible...but if it is my car would use it every morning when i have to back out at 7:00am becasue it idels at like 2k and my vtec kicks in at 2200. This question would kinda be like asking "Does my boost kick in while my car is in reverse???" |

Vtec and boost dont have much in common mechanically. |
Ingredients for Vtec..
-war motor -rpm at vtec engagement point (or beyond) -wheels spinning faster than X km/h -sufficient oil pressure. I think thats about it.. now do you have all these while crusing in reverse? |

Damn, does it have to come from Iraq too? |

LOL, I meant WARM motor.. |
yea.... warm is important.. no no.. NEEDED. and to answer the question... yes. ive seen/herd of people on other boards of mine doing it, the problem is your going almost 15-20mph(well... i would be) in reverse to hit 5200 rpms and well... if you jitter the wheel at all, you'll spin out and possibly flip.... so dont try it. its stupidly dangerous.
|
Yeah this is comical. :D
Why do you ask? *checks for new JDM "WAR" motor with CETV* |
