Caught street racing.....
 

I was on my way to school from my friends house when the "fastest" car at school passes and revs on me. First the car is a (i think) 95 maxima with intake exhaust and ignition remapping (dont know how that helps). So anyway we are drving down the road waiting to catch a light together. When we finally do we are setting at the intersection of County Road 6 and County road 17. Both notourius for cops. I roll my window down and talk to him (His name is neil) I say "Neil you think your gonna win?" He says "i would put money on it" I say alright friend rolls the window up and we wait for green. Im kinda nervous because this is supposed to be the fastest car at school. Meaning that it will beat a: 2003 WRX, 97 eclipse running 18 lbs of boost, H22 powered civic and varius others. I look around for cops. Clear, i think im good. Light changes we go. Launch at a little over 2k with tires spin. rev limiter comes snatch 2nd, limiter again slam into 3rd. By this time i have at least 2 car lengths on him. top of 3rd at about 85-90 go into 4th now i know i won. Neil turns onto a side road and i take the car out of gear and coast onto the new michagan extension. Take one lazy corner, then another now im doing about 60 which is the speed limit i look in the mirror red and blues. The first thought that goes through my miind is "Jail time"i pull over and by the time the cop gets there i have my license and registration waiting for him. He comes up "WHAT THE **** DO YOU THINK YOU WERE DOING BACK THERE???? DONT YOU KNOW DRIVING IS A PRIVILEDGE NOT A RIGHT??? I FOLLOWED YOU FROM THAT LIGHT AND SAW IT ALL! DO YOU KNOW WHO WAS IN THAT WHITE CAR?" i meekly reply "no' he satarts again "I HAVE YOUR PLATES YOUR CAR INFO AND EVERYTHING IF I EVER CATCH YOU RACING AGAIN I WILL THROW YOUR ASS IN JAIL AND TAKE YOUR CAR!!!!" I could tell he wasnt bullshiting me either. He turns around and walks back to his car and goes to look for neil. And on top of all that i was late to school... Whaat a way to start a friday....;( :mad:

Its not like you didnt know what was going to happen.. You should never race where there are always cops.. Thats just a BAD idea. :o

wow kid.... your a moron... every hear of "taking it easy"?
should have just asked him if he wanted to meet up at the track on race day.....

sounds like highschool racing to me.

oh and i know the races come down to the driver, but that list of his is a bit shady, expecialy if you beat him, no offence, but you couldnt beat a h22 in my car, let alone in a civic.

Are you sure those cars have engines in them? Because there's no way you or he would beat any of those.

I'm not trying to start anything but street racing is just gay. Not to mention dangerous and so not worth the risks. I get pissed off when people try to race me in an inapproppriate place because then cops see that and then they think that we're all trouble.

Yeah...but i duno. theres just somthing about the feeling of fun and risky that you cant get from track racing...

and c'mon, everyone at high school talks crazy crap about their car. The high school ricer scene adds at least 50 -pyschological horsepower, so dont beleive any crap people will tell you. Be the bigger person, and yell out your window: street racing is gay!

Yeah I can agree to that but in the same respect, I saw some F*ED up shit last summer around here where everyone takes their cars. I'm talking seeing someone laying in the road dead because they wrapped their car around a pole and got thrown out of the car. Late at night on the highway when there is no traffic is always cool. But in the day time when there's traffic, I'm just not down. I can totally relate to the whole rush thing though because it's obviously something that you're not supposed to be doing and when it's all over with, you're still feeling that adrenaline.

And why are you complaining???
You potentially got away from
1.) Your car being impounded
2.) your licence being suspended
3.) a big fine for street racing
4.) spending some time at the local popo's station

but no, you were late for school. Big deal kid, you should learn to appreciate some things in life instead of always complaining! You got of lucky!

3) you were racing in the morning (I dont know about you, but before 10 AM im pretty much out of it)

ok this kid beat a 2003 WRX? do you actually know how fast these cars are? These thing will beat an SI every day of the week unless the driver is an idiot. hmm i would have to say if that kid told you he beat them he is full of bullsh*t! and you ran it to the rev. limiter before shifting but correct me if i am wrong but you lose power if you run your car to the limiter.

heh. Some guy in like a 1970 Chevy Blazer w/rust all over it seriously tried racing me this morning and I just starting laughing at him.

I never said that i could beat any of those cars It was said that the maxima i raced was the fastest at the school and i was pointing out what others are there.....I wish i could beat the WRX or even the eclipse....but i cant....*sigh*

i'm sure that's just the cars he raced at the school.

he just didn't race the wrx or other cars...that's why he still can say he's the "fastest".
