shifter???
 

i have a 97 civic ex 5 speed, i was just wondering is there any wires or linkage or anything inside my shifter or is it just the metal shifter. because im going to cut it and i would not be to happy if i cut someting important like a wire or mabey even a VTECH CONECTOR WIRE hahahahahaha.

its just metal...cut away...but its gonna be ghetto (just buy a real short shifter and save yourself the trouble)

nope, nothing to worry about, and yes it will be ghetto like Pdiggity said, but we're all...well a lot of us are on a budget. If you do end up cutting it, what are you planning to do? Are you planning on cutting the shifter, taking part of it out and putting back together with JB Weld?? Are you going to rethread it at the point you cut it off at?? If you use JB Weld or weld it, it's probably going to break just to let you know.
