d15

how much hp does a d15 have and how would it perform with greddy headers exhaust and turbo kit. all greddy?

pdiggitydogg 03-29-2003 10:18 PM

I found these stats using google...
d15b:
1.5L 16V
SOHC
9:2:1 compression ratio
hp=90@6000rpm
tq=119@4500
top speed = 111mph

And here is the other half of the question...
you wont be getting a header if youre putting a turbo on, the exhaust gasses are what power the turbo, and you'd be using the manifold that comes w/ the kit...(greddy doesnt make turbo kids for the d15b...so youre going to have to find a company that does...or make your own custom setup...ala junkyard turbo and custom piping)
After all that...hp is dependant on boost numbers...figure around (very roughly...and generously) 7hp per psi...so running 5lbs of boost give you another 35 ponies...making the d15 pump out 125hp to the wheels...like I said...this is very rough estimate and probably very generous...

What car are you running? CRX?

what specifc d series are you talking about? what car is it in? the d series can stand something like 8 psi, without buliding the bottom end. The greddy turbo kit comes with a turbo exhaust manifold, which replaces the stock exhaust manifold. Therefore you cannot use a header, so if you are buying these parts, don't get something that you don't need.

Swap on a vtec head then go turbo.

THEY TOLD ME THAT THE D15 HAS VTEC ITS JUST ****ED UP ON THE ENGINE THAT I NEED TO GET IT FIX THE D15 IS IN A 93 HATCH THATS COMPLETLY CUTTED OUT BUT DOESNT GREDDY MAKE A KIT FOR 92-95 AND IS IT FOR THE D16?

pdiggitydogg 03-30-2003 05:14 PM

take off that caps lock bud...

and yeah greddy does make one for the d16...so strap on a vtec head and there ya go...set
