4th gen tail lights??
just wondering what all you 4th gens have done for your tail lights... i'd like to clear out the bottom to just have the red/clear, but i'm not sure how. i know i don't like the regular alteeza's. i'm not sure hot the carbon fiber ones would look since my car's black. what do u guys have on yours??
|
ive got stocks on now, but have some customs on the way, its g-14 classifide, or id tell you about it ;) and clearing them out, you heat up the glue holding the light on, and slowly and very carefully pull the lens off, then you pop the orange reflector out, and put a clear something in its place. then heat the glue and re-stick the lense back on.

Ah ya, CF altezza's are awesome.. On any color car.. |
If altezzas were made better, they would be the bomb.. But they are shitty made and sure look like them.. I dont like the white silicon they use.. It jes looks plain cheap... There has to be a way to make them look more solid...
|
take them apart take off all the silicone
and whatever color your car is...match it with that color silicone |
does anybody by any chance have pics of a black lude with the cf alteeza's??
|
sorry no
but i'll look |
Thanks for the compliments guys. I have a spare set in my basment that I can make for anybody. It also has the FULL TURN SIGNAL modification done 2 it. IT looks awesome at night as I am using a raybrig red bulb for my turn signal and a raybrig blue bulb for my reverse. Well I live in Canada [toronto] SO shoot me a price because I may post these baby's up on E-Bay and see what I can get for them.
Thankz! ohh btw I think CF Altezza's do not look good. Fake carbon fibre just does not turn me on! |

do u have a ballpark figure for how much u want for them? |
HondaGirl. I am honestly not sure. Have you checked how much a set of tail lights would cost you [not cleared] like go to scrap yard and try to find a set of 4th gen tails??? or go to the dealer and see how much a set costs? Try to find a set and see how much you can get them for then hit me back with your best offer price.
You can email me the_ruffneck@hotmail.com if you cant get to view my pics, in my sig. go check my page. [can anybody paste them so they automatically pop up?] peace out |
Is this what you're looking for?

yup, i saw this already...i was just wondering how hard it was to do myself. i don't wanna try this on mine and then mess em up. imma go to the junkyard to see if i can find a set to practice with cheap. if not, i might just try to buy that spare set from phatz |
Hey honda girl, send me a pic of yourself then I might drive down to the USA to help ya out, hahaha j/k
ya if u need help just ask, I am sure you can do it! Just take your time and DONT rush, when you rush you MELT! :( You will see what I mean. Trust me, take your time and heat it up slowly and have one of your homegirlz pull the red while you pull the black housing, and go slowly! :) |
yeah literally they will melt.
here is another suggestoin.....bake them in the oven so the glue melts evenly...then pull apart at once. But don't turn the oven on high...or else. MELT!!! I think a lot of peeps prefer the heat gun side though. but just incase you don't have a heat gun kickin around. |
i've done that to my lites and it isn't to hard. if you dont have a heat gun available a good hair dryer set on max should work just fine.
|
thanks guys, i'll try it out, and let u know what happens! ;)
