Big brake kit
How much does an AEM big brake kit worth,,, is it just better to get cross drilled rotors and upgrade the pads(i know it's not better but it's prob. more cost efficient)?????
|
The AEM kit requires 17" wheels minimum to fit. That means no putting on a spare, no using stock wheels ever, etc.

the sacrifices u need to do just to have a bigbrakes

With the AEM big brake kit, you're paying the big bucks for looks. I think that the kits run about $1100 these days.
If you want stopping power, I would just buy some race-spec brake pads ($75 - $100). But, if you're going for looks, go with the big-brake kit. Cross drilled rotors have a way of causing havok on brake pads, so that's something to consider (slotted rotors are a tad friendlier). |
Thanks, I guess I'll go with the slotted rotors and better pads and save a few dollars.....

u can get the aem brake upgrade that uses the stock calipers and cost around 500. but i would like to know if anyone has had them or not because im planing on doing an upgrade with some of my tax money

The 500 dollar kit is the one also you have to use 17" wheels also. That kit comes with two new rotors and the bracket to relocate the caliper and some nuts and bolt's. The more expensive kit come's with all that and some 6-pot or 4-pot calipers i believe and that kit's like $1500. If you want good brakes just buy stainless steel lines, rotors and pads.

well what would be a good set of rotors to get then
