alignment question
Everytime I turn sharp my rim hits my tie rod and creates a crunching sound. My rims are half an inch deeper than my last ones so that is what is causing me all this trouble. anyway, my question is, if I swapped tie rods from either side so that the bow in the rod faces towards my strut instead of outward will this be alignable? a buddy of mine says reversing the tie rod will affect the toe-in. I turned the wheel all way to see if the bow in the tie rod was their so it wouldn't hit the strut and this appeared to not be the case. i can't stand having to do 3 point turns just to get into a tight parking space

i don't think you could put them the other way. you might end up with them hitting the control arm
i turned my wheels all the way to see if that would happen and it appeared their would be enuff clearance if I reversed em.
there is one more problem: the treads i don't think they will go in
damn, thats tru.....have u heard of some custome tie rods??
How wide are your wheels? Offset?
no custom tierods. maybe some wheel spacers will help you out a bit
my old wheels were 5 and a half and the new ones are 6
i was thinking about wheel spacers.....does anybody sell them?
the local autoparts stores
damn....one place wants 120 dollars for a spacer....bet I could get a machine shop to make one for 20. btw, how many millimeters are in an inch?
1"=2.54cm=25.4mm

thanx.....its positive offset.....can a machine shop offset it any more?
