what is it??
i am tryin to sell my car and i had it advertised as a gs. but someone looked up my car on carfax and it says that my car is a 1992 integra ls that came with a 1.7 liter vtec in it. what the hell is that?? i mean i know its a gsr motor but is my car a gsr?? it has power windows but no power locks and i dont think it had that stock wing on it. i just checked the engine code of the motor thats in it now and its a b18a1. if anyone wants to check the vin is jh4da9350ns038638

well i have a 92 ls and it fits your description minus the wing. also the engine is a b18a1
|
hmm thats weird, youre sure its the 1.7L DOHC VTEC right? I ask because the 92-93 teg GS-R's came with the 1.7L DOHC VTEC you mentioned, coded B17A1 and rated at 160hp......but the 92-93 teg RS/LS/GS came with the 1.8L DOHC non-vtec B18A1 w/140hp...
are u the original owner? maybe carfax just screwed up or something. weirdness. |
im pretty sure, the guy we bought it from said he replaced the motor and we thought it was a gs, but then when we were tryin to sell it some kid emailed us askin if it was a gsr cause thats what carfax said. is there anything distinguishing i can look for to find out what it is??

why dont you just look on the engine block right now and find the code?
Its rare that carfax would mess up on the trim of the car. |
its a b16a1 but it was replaced
|
shouldn't it be listed on the title?
|
GSR engine is a B17A1, all others (including LS) had a B18A1.
Check the tach- a B18A1 will redline at 6800 rpm, higher (7800?) in a GSR. The GSRs also came with a badge: ![]() B16s were not available in USDM Integras. |
