Should I Go With Thermal R&D?
Im going to get an exhaust just not sure what i should go with cause i dont have too many options for an LX ya kno? I would appreciate some feedback on this Thermal R&D stealth system if anyone knows about it and feedback on other exhaust systems that work with my 01 LX muchthanx
|
well i really want a thermal but it's expensive. for your car it's around $500 + shipping the lowest i could find, and expect to pay a lot for shipping.

well im willing to spend the money to have it but ill will have to wait on the header for a while cause i have some priorities for right now cuz i have a cracked windshield and i want to tint my windows as well. i kinda blew some money on new silverstar headlight bulbs 20 bucks each but i like the change and bought some bosch +4 platinum plugs. but the thermal i really want it but i want to know something about it first hopefully someone who has a thermal could lemme know muchthanx |
no problem. don't get bosh plugs for your car. they are good in german cars but not in japanese cars. i've had a totyota, a subaru and a honda so far and they ran like crap with boches

well dang i wish idda knew that b4 i bought them thats 26 bucks down zee freakin drain what plugs should i get if not those ? |
I use Bosch Plats right now...i havent notice any problems with them at all. Can you explain as to why these are bad for hondas?
|
YES go thermal, it is definately worth the money.
you can get a thermal with free shipping from www.revolutiontuning.com (where I got mine) and they seem to be the only ones that give you the choice of classic, turbo, or stealth for all yrs. Use ngk plugs |
I will probaly switch over to NGKs....but can you explain as to why or any personal experiences with them?
|
thats what honda uses as oem...so theyre best designed for our cars. Oh and dont bother shelling out for the iridium plugs unless youre super modded...otherwise its a waste of money
|
I havent noticed any difference with my Bosch +4 Platinums so imma just keep em
|
as i told u in the PM go thermal...really easy...go to www.mmrusa.com ur gonna spend about 540..rev tuning doesn't have the model for your car...

thermal is a good exhaust, you won't be disappointed.

Dont get the stealth, get the classic. Mine was 530$ shipped - www.landspeedracing.com |
^stealth is quieter though

True, but it is also geared for a different type of performance, if you want to modify your car more than I,H,E, than the classic will be worth it cause it is geared to high RPM power. |

Thing is i dont think they make a classic for my LX 01 |
www.ThermalRD.com go to the companies website

I did go there but they dont have a classic for my car atleast i didnt see it. all they have is the stealth. |
so get the stealth
chris |
I would put in a call to them, if they make the stealth, then i bet they also make the classic. Give them a call or write an email.
|
alrite muchthanx:yes:

yeah they have the classic, and i can get it for you, but it's like 540 for your car.
|
how does the stealth sound. i have an apc catback(don't anyone kill me) because it was cheap and personally i'm not really disappointed with it. for the money its great($200 installed) but iwant something throatier and maybe something to give me some more power. i am really thinking about the classic or stealth
|
the stealth is quiet and geared torwar low end performance....it's got a nice low rumble to it
chris |
GET THE CLASSIC - its the best, the stealth is only good if u do not plan on modifying ur car in the future (the whole low end performance deal doesnt work too well when you hook up ur car to handle performance at high rpms.)
