Taillite prob

my right tail is fogging up and im just wondering is that from a bad seal or wtf if going on??? It hasnt affected the lighting yet so im not sure if i should be worried.

yeah its a bad seal...if you want you could take off the lens and let it sit inside for a while or use a hair dryer on it so all the h2o gets out. then if you want put some silicon all around the edge for a better outer seal, but the back is practiacally open so this probably isnt necessary...just get the water out somehow

blind34_1 02-11-2003 02:33 PM

that tends to happen with the lower quality altezzas and crap. yeah, just seal it up good with some silicon you can buy anywhere.

I've also heard that drilling a small hole in the bottom of the tail will help this too. I'm pretty sure thats a load of crap, but anyone else heard of that?

Is this a stock light, or an aftermarket setup? Anyway, yeah... dry it out with something and seal it back up.

if you were to drill a hole...which might not be that bad if its on the back...would have to be at the top with some kind of hose thingy like the headlight so the water has a way to get out

JamieS697 02-11-2003 09:43 PM

altezzas havent had a prob till now f*ckin apc

pdiggitydogg 02-11-2003 10:51 PM

you should have said it was APC in the 1st place..then we would have all said "Ooohh, yes that is the problem"

blind34_1 02-11-2003 11:44 PM

lesson #1 of buying cheap crap for your car: good god stay away from APC!!!

Senshi 02-12-2003 02:58 AM

apc isn't that bad now, i got clear corners from them, not the CLEAR CLEAR EURO ones but the ones that looks kinda like the headlights in detail and they have never had a problem, but i would never get a performance part from them, and if i do get lights from them i would be smart enough to SEAL THEM UP MYSELF before applying

pdiggitydogg 02-12-2003 09:04 AM

the key to that is "seal them up myself" a person shouldnt have to do that with a good part...

JamieS697 02-12-2003 09:35 PM

exactly and i bought them b4 i knew how crappy apc was. Now i know so i will make better choices in the future
