TragikTSi 11-14-2001 09:32 PM

Nice car. Looks good. Is it true what they say, how you can lift the carbon fiber hood with 1 finger?

ChrisCantSkate 11-15-2001 02:13 PM

a finger a pencil, anythign you name it, this hood weighes about 11 lbs, my stock wieghted almost 50. it could be supported by a piece of paper rolled up. its frick'n awsome

KwikR6 11-15-2001 06:09 PM

that's light yo!!!! Can you even feel the weight difference in driving though? Was it worth it?

ChrisCantSkate 11-15-2001 06:12 PM

i love the hood, i love the way it looks, and i think i can feel a slight picup difference, but it might be in my head, its just another thing to give you that extra edge in a close matched race.

HondasRfast 11-15-2001 09:17 PM

[size=1][color=red]Looks sweet. I love carbon fiber. I've heard that carbon fiber hoods are not very strong though. Does it flex when you lift it or close it? Looks sweet though.

I do believe that the hood will make your car faster....bekause you are taking off a decent amount of weight....i was just wondering if you can really tell.

heh, cf is strong as shit, read the old superstreet, then ran a car over it, theres also a video on the net somewhere of someone jumping up and down on a hood. its stronger than steel, but 10x lighter.

Whtehnda93DXSdn 11-19-2001 01:41 PM

I like that new hood..

The look of CF..so schweeeeet....

thanks for sharing....nice lude..:)

That sux. Sorry to hear about that..

ChrisCantSkate 12-01-2001 02:35 PM

well i hope i havnt waited too long, but since i scraped it on school proporty, and they didnt have it marked off, they might be responsible for fixing it. that would make my week, one less problem to worry about with my car.

KwikR6 12-02-2001 10:11 PM

Glad to see you might get a sweet deal outta it

ChrisCantSkate 12-03-2001 02:27 PM

well i got the highest quote i could get, 265. thats repairing the whole bumper, and repainting it.... even repairing some road rash from the previous owner.

Good to hear someone is getting a good deal outta an accident and get their bumper fixed. AHEM!!!

ChrisCantSkate 12-04-2001 12:39 PM

well, its kinda good news, it looks like the school might not pay, so i'd take it to some guy i know, and just get him to repaint it, and i'd fix it.

KwikR6 12-05-2001 10:50 AM

that's cool then:)
