Indiglo Gauges......ROAR!
Ok, I got a good deal on these AC Dash gauges, they light up like a bluegreen, i got them for 45 bucks ok? good deal. So I go to put them in and realize I dont know how, i dont wanna **** with electrical shit if i dont know how to do it. So, I take it to my friends performance shop........65 dollars an hour for a 3-4 hour job?!!!!! GEEZE! So does anyone here have a site or know how to do them? If you know a site that will show me how to do it, post the URL. If you know how could you make how-to with pics and send it to me or something?

Performance shops that charge by the hour are dumbasses..
my shop charges a rate per job that would be like.. prolly 70 bucks from my shop.. dunno man, i wouldnt f*** with it either To clarify, its not MY shop, its just the shop i go thru :) |
ther's a lot of threads regarding indiglo gauges installation..do a little research...i'm too lazy..:pfft:
|
jdmfan.com has a how to...i dont know the exact link but its under cosmetic in the technical section...its easier than you think...JUST DONT REMOVE THE NEEDLES...and it doesnt take anywhere near 3-4hrs...took me less than 2 if i remember right and i had no idea what i was really doing

If you lived in Los Angeles I would do it for you for free.

LMAO, 3-4 hour job :D
|
lol, 3-4 hours is such BS! I can do it in about 30-40 min. Clean job too...
|
shouldnt take more than an hour.. only took me 5 minutes to learn how to take the gauge cluster out and disasemmble it..
|
*** looks at calender.. thinking for a second it might be 1998 again.. NOPE still 2003 **shrugs in confusion** ***

Very easy job to do with the right tools. Might want a volt meter to tell you which wire to tap into. This way you can just turn on your lights and your indiglos come on with them.
It took me and a friend 30mins....only about 5 mins to get the cluster out, then my friend found the wire to tap into. Just check out the DIY threads and take your time. Everything will come out great...plus its a great feeling to do it yourself. Good luck, post or pm me if you have any questions...im more then happy to help. |
i did it on an integra in 30 minutes, and in my accord in 1 hr.
|
BTW, speaking of integra installation. I havent done mine yet, but was wondering...Is it true that I have to glue them down over the old ones? Versus with my older Civic, I screwed them in...
