Alternator on 1990 Honda Accord

Has anyone had any experience in the process of replacing an alternator on a 1990 Honda Accord. Some books state that you need to remove the drive axel?

In 5th gens, its isnt necessary.. And since your model resembles mine very much.. I dont think its necessary.
