depressed... venting

well.. just last night im laughing away without a worry in the world, then today i just had one of those days. first shitty part.. i wake up 4 hours later than i wanted to to drive home from college, pack up, and im on my way home... i get within 15 miles of my exit, tire blows out at 90mph. car is fine, rim looks undamaged, im stuck for 2 hours in the median waiting for my friend to bring me a spare tire. my mom was out of town all week, and she was also on her way home. she got home 30-45 mins before me. when i get there.. i see 2 cop cars in my driveway. i pull up, and someone broke into my house TODAY. proboble 2 hours before i got home... when i planned on getting home. they only touched my moms jewlery box.. got everything valuable, everything thats been in our family for generations... we valued everything at 50grand thats missing. i need to vent.. im so out of it. first i almost die on the highway, then i find out i got robbed.

Oh man, I'm really sorry to hear about these things happening. The tire can be fixed, but its hard to lose family heirlooms.

Keep your head up

Yeah, I know what you mean. Its hard to see your parents sad or depressed.

I know that my mom wouldn't want me to save up and spend too much money on her if I couldn't afford it. She would rather have something that came from the heart.

ChrisCantSkate 12-08-2002 11:52 PM

yeah... i'll goto sears or something tomorrow, find her a nice neckalace or bracelet. even if its only 40 or 50 bucks... i only have $65 to my name

ebpda9 12-08-2002 11:58 PM

i feel for ya man....keep ur head up high....no looking down or back....just straight ahead...

Racing Rice 12-09-2002 07:16 AM

Man Chris.. That does suck, but look on the bright side. Atleast it was just jewels and stuff they took. Im guessing insurance will pay for some of the stuff, though I understand it has centimental meanings. Atleast no one was home and got hurt. Thats the most important thing to remember.

We have been robbed before, it makes you feel very violated.. Its a crappy feeling, but eventually itll go away.

I would beef up some security in the house a little better to keep it from happening again though. Its not uncommon for a thief to hit more then once especially if it was very easy the first time. Just a thought.

bro i feel for ya mate..... just remember that the things that matter most are still there (your family) and that xmas is about spending time with your loved ones.

DsBlu01CivEX 12-09-2002 08:44 AM

aww Chris I'm sorry to hear that. Always seems like everything that goes bad always happens in one day. Whatever you do don't blame yourself or anyone else for what happened. All that happened because you're supposed to learn something from it. Which I'm sure you will. Just spend time with your family and all will be well again.

Rob 12-09-2002 11:09 AM

Sorry to hear that Chris....at least you and your family are safe. Like everyone said, keep your head up and everything will be fine...

I'm sorry about what happened dude. I also know how hard it is to actually listen without feeling depressed. Just think about it this way, if your tire didn't blow, and you got home before the robbers, you might have gotten hurt. As with the stuff stolen, maybe there is still a chance that it will be found? As in the guys will be caught?

ChrisCantSkate 12-09-2002 11:19 AM

thanx guys, im feeling better

actualy, my friend came to my house to pick up a stock rim, and we think he spooked them, cause we found some stuff thrown in the bushes(not very valuable). if i was here,, they probobly wouldnt have even come to the house, and if they did i have an assortment of long swingable objects, and sharp pointy things

Addict 12-09-2002 11:36 AM

Aw man. That sucks. I don't know that there would've been anything you could have done to change it though.

Heh. Just hope they didn't have one of those dull, metal spitting things in their hands.
