Vtec on a F22
Is it possible to put a Vtec Head (i think thats what its called)
on the F22 Block.....Is there a F engine with a Vtec head out there? (F23?) ....again i'm not to familar with engine codes and such so any help would be great... |
f22b1 is a vtec engine from an accord ex
can i just take the head off and put it on my F22? or do i need the whole engine...I don't want a $4000 (canadian) H22 so ya i just want Vtec for now in my engine
it works like an ls/vtec. you would need the ecu, head and etc.
oh ok so i wouldn;t need the block just everything else? that could work....hmm how much u think?
WAY more trouble and money than its worth, if it would even work... Go to a junkyard and pick up an EX engine for not much money at all.

I have the same opinion. |
3rd just for good measure.
vtec doesn't do too much on a sohc engine. better get the complete swap for better performance
........how much is the EX engine AS long if its Vtec thats all i want ....F22 Vtec or whatever the code is..i don't have 5000$ to spend on a H22 or anything yes it is expensive up here....;(
H22's with trannys are somewhere around 2000-3000 USD depending on the mileage.
ya i know but i live in canada! it sucks up here man with prices .... if anyone can get me a price on that vtec Ex engine that would be good.. i might just want to get the head part of one.... i only have like a few hundred bucks to do this.. i know you must think i'm retarded but meh. :o
low 2000's from ASAPmotors in tx for a 30k mile JDM h22a
i guess i'll just go and steal a prelude engine with those prices !;) anyway if i wanna buy a rebuilt f22 is gonna cost me around the same price for the short block, with no headcover, no maniforld, no tranny, no nothing, just the block and the head
im telling ya accord owners, you just dont know what your missing with the h22 untill you get it. you'll never regret the pains of doing a f22 head swap. you'll get MAYBE 150hp out of the f22, where the h22 is 200 out of the box.

;( ;(
