Doing It All...All Over Again..

im re doing my whole suspension again....cause i blew a coil over in the front and the other one..is just about done for too...the back ones seem fine though..but im going to re do it all..struts/shocks everything..i just dont know what to go right now..i do have two tokico struts in the front and monroe in the back..but im thinking of going either tokico HP all around or KYB or maybe even Dropzone...the coil overs i have no idea what to get...that or springs..but the coil overs are so much cheaper to buy.(at least on ebay) anyone got a good Combo in mind for this? i allrdy have brand new tie rod ends and control arms with ball joints pressed in...shes going to be rock solid when its done...

IALuder 07-23-2007 05:32 PM

koni yellows and GC coilovers.

KYB and GC is also good.

ShEaNy 07-23-2007 08:05 PM

whats the prices on all of that..i couldnt even find any of those on ebay when i searched..maybe i typed it in wrong...GC = groundcontrol?

IALuder 07-23-2007 09:51 PM

yea. it cost me a little over 700. 300 for the coilovers.

ShEaNy 07-24-2007 01:16 PM

i found drop zone Struts and springs (set) gives it a 2.25 2.50 drop for under 300 on ebay that any good at all? i dont wanna spend near a grand...

Racing Rice 07-24-2007 01:39 PM

Are they just drop springs? I personally would stay away from any sleeves except GC. I'd be leery of DropZone springs and shocks but I've heard people say they are ok.

IALuder 07-24-2007 01:40 PM

i heard dropzone sucks. remember you get what you pay for. check honda-tech for sponser deals.

ShEaNy 07-24-2007 02:03 PM

its everything..the struts with the springs..is it really that bad? other wise i dunno what to do here...so much to choose from

IALuder 07-24-2007 02:47 PM

look for deals on forums. i strongly recommend something else. but to each their own.

ShEaNy 07-26-2007 10:16 AM

ya i would love to get something different too...i do have the tokico illumina (sp) 5 ways up front right now..but the guy says they MIGHT be gone...well i dunno what the warranty is on those...but if there covered ill just replace those with the same then...and if there not..ill just get a good set of coilovers/springs/whatever and leave everything..it just sucks no one sells anything in singles or just sets of twos...gota buy all 4....at least where ive been looking..

ShEaNy 07-26-2007 11:02 AM

what about Neuspeed sport lowering springs they any good?...156 on ebay right now... they'll prolly work with the tokicos pretty good?

Racing Rice 07-26-2007 11:51 AM

Yes, Neuspeed are good. Tokico Blues work, but they are basically stock replacements. Less aggressive valving and don't have longer travel which makes them more susceptible to blowing. They do work ok though, you just may have to replace them more often.

ShEaNy 07-26-2007 01:59 PM

grrr now i found some Tein S springs for almost the same price...hmmm decisions...and i have less then a week to do it...

IALuder 07-26-2007 03:03 PM

if you found tein that cheap they are fakes. they have been know to be all over ebay and such sites.

ShEaNy 07-26-2007 09:09 PM

ya its like 170 for set of 4 lowering springs...

IALuder 07-30-2007 08:00 AM

id would say knock offs.

Just go with something simple and stick with what these fellows said and go with the GC Coilcovers. Honestly best in my opinion.

ShEaNy 09-28-2011 12:50 AM

posts 4 years old..cars been gone long time lmao i jsut received an email about it right now..so funny...

colyfelb 10-07-2020 08:16 AM

I'd rather go for Bilstein Shocks.

windsurftwo 05-03-2021 06:59 PM

That's gonna be difficult
