dont forget that you can always expand the unit with glass break sensors, proximity alert, mercury tilt sensors, etc

true. the two way pagers have a limited range tho right?

my compustar is REALLY damn far...6000ft
In buildings, its maybe 1/3 of that, but really...how far are you going to be from your car? I can turn my alarm on/off from any lot while I sit in school, which means that it will page me if it goes off
The newer designs dont go as far

im getting the viper 771vx. it has a two pager that is good up to a half mile radius.

well if you are too far the alarm is worthless, because the thieves might be gone till you reach your car.

but if the alarms sounds im sure someone in the parking lot will notice.

do you investigate when you hear one?
Sad thing is most people dont even pay attention. I wish my alarm screamed "FIRE FIRE HELP" or "F*CK ME BABY OH YEAH!"
