thermal 08-08-2005 07:56 PM

yeah mang......

dabouncerx24 09-11-2005 02:21 PM

Man when the hell can you get the thing up and running? It's been like a 3 month delay already.

-.NsaNiTi.- 09-11-2005 07:52 PM

dude do you not know whats going on with him??

JDMFantasy2k 09-11-2005 10:29 PM

took me a year to turbo a civic

so either boost your own car or quit bitching

it'll be worth the wait

dabouncerx24 09-12-2005 01:10 AM

Yea I read whats up with him..all the promotion commotion and Naval ship stuff...

If I had $10,000 to get a ITR swap and rebuild it AND get a nice-ass turbocharger with related parts, I will boost my own car and stop bitching :).

Sivik 09-12-2005 02:07 AM

at least he's doing it right... he can take all the time he wants

-.NsaNiTi.- 09-12-2005 01:33 PM

no joke man. crazy setup.

it took me quite me quite awhile to get my car done too. but then again i had 3900$ worth of damage too.

but it takes time, and he probably doesnt have a whole lot so get off his ass about it haha

thermal 09-12-2005 08:02 PM

It's all good man. I should be back in business after this week. Even my local friends dont know what is up with me. I cant even remember what parts I have in my garage now. All I know is that I have all my brake and suspension set-up ready to go. I'm gonna say fuk it (in regards to the interior). I need to enjoy the car before I deploy overseas again. Plus my girl is gonna drive it whenever she's in town while I'm gone....

-.NsaNiTi.- 09-13-2005 06:28 PM

sounds good bud.

everything is lookin great haha. I kind of did the same thing you did just to get it out there running around. I dont even have any tunes in mine right now haha.

I just hope she doesnt get a ticket. I just want to make sure the rotating components doesnt seize while I'm gone. I will set the boost to low side and ensure the the E-cut stays close before I go....

thermal 09-26-2005 09:25 PM

Here we go. I finally had a little bit of time to fuk with the suspension and braking today. I bought me a 12 ton hydraulic press to replace the front hub bearings and ball joints. I installed the extended wheel studs as well. I had some problems dealing with the hub bearings. Both of them bitches only came off with one side. The other half of the bearing inner housing remained on the hub. So I had to run to the nearest AutoZone to get a bearing puller. After an hour of improvision and patience, I finally got it off. The Hydraulic press was awesome. It surely made things so much easier. I'll post pics wednesday. I should putting the suspension and brake system back on. This wekkend will be some wiring and quite possible start the car.... if I ever get my Hondata base map..........

-.NsaNiTi.- 09-27-2005 01:30 PM

nice looking forward to it.

thermal 09-28-2005 05:38 AM

AEM EMS is so tempting. I know that I will eventually do it. This is a writing by one of my closest friends:

http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1344468

D-Tuned and CompressionFed were both garage sleepers. We all used to hang out so much. Now both of them are so far ahead of me. I missed out on some knowledge.

-.NsaNiTi.- 09-28-2005 01:27 PM

yea Ive been considering it for a while now too.

sicones 09-28-2005 04:27 PM

man thats awasome, the seprate coil for each plug but that shit is overkill, you can only run that with the aem ems right????

AkimboStylee 09-28-2005 05:58 PM

my sentra has something like that, Distributorless ignition (each plug has an Electrical device attached to it, and than a wiring harness that goes into the regular wiring harness) i guess?

Any Stand Alone system that can individually control spark can do it. Tec systems and some Accel units can do it too. It's just that the EMS for some reason made it very easy for tuners.

UPDATE:
Sorry no pics today. But, I was able to complete one side of my suspension. My tuner also gave me a base Hondata map for my set. Basically to run a 1000cc injectors on a 84mm bore under a 3 bar map sensor. This car should start this weekend.. Then I'm gonna work out all the bugs before I dyno tune late next weekend.... well, hopefully....

JDMFantasy2k 09-28-2005 10:21 PM

how come you couldn't use your old tune as a basemap, i'm assuming it's cause you upgraded your injectors?

thermal 09-28-2005 10:24 PM

 yep, plus a 3 bar map sensor. Last time I was stock
