clock backlight

Is the clock in the 2001 Accord supposed to be backlit somehow? I had a 93 and the digital clock lit up and dimmed when the headlights were turned on. The clock in my 2001 is on all the time, even with no key in the ignition but I can't read it in the dark. Is there a bulb that needs to be replaced or is not lit to begin with?

Thanks! I'll check it out.

yeah mine is digital but most of the 6th gen accords that i've seen don't have the backlight on the clocks.

Is that becuase they didn't come with them or because they're broken? I found a link to "ALLDATA" which shows all the technical service buletins the mfgs put out and there was one released by Honda in Feb. '02 that was titled "Clock Light Innoperative", Honda TSB # 01-097. I'm having my trim replaced around my shift soon, the fake wood laminate split so the dealer's replacing it under warranty. I'll have then check out the bulb at the same time.
