suspension help???

i have a 92 civic hb and it is too low. I have adj coils on it and i put them up as high as they go but my car is still too low for getting into parking lots. I was wondering what would be the best thing to get. Air ride or Tein? If anyone could let me know it would be great.

Mischief 12-01-2005 12:49 PM

what kind of springs do you have now? stiffer ones might help

sideshow775 12-01-2005 02:20 PM

tokico illumina coilover kit

IALuder 12-01-2005 07:10 PM

up grade to GC koni. cheaper then tein and same ride.

ebpda9 12-01-2005 11:16 PM

what do you mean as high as they go: at the top of the tread, or you are somewhere lower, but the perch won't go higer because of the spring tension ?

sideshow775 12-01-2005 11:24 PM

lower...not at the top of the thread. But i want something that i can lower for when i am at shows and bring up when i am driving. at the touch of a switch.

pdiggitydogg 12-01-2005 11:25 PM

in that case, you just need air bags

sideshow775 12-01-2005 11:37 PM

do you know of sites i can get prices? I have seen a couple but nothing useful

sicones 12-02-2005 12:49 AM

I know summit sells air bag kits for hondas, but there probably over priced, just use that as a starting point...

btw airbags are total shit and are guaranteed to fuck your ride up

pdiggitydogg 12-02-2005 06:33 AM

well, I suppose theyre better than they were a few yrs ago

explain

sicones 12-02-2005 04:10 PM

its pretty self explanitory

Mischief 12-02-2005 07:11 PM

apparently it's not, that's why I asked for you to explain.. my friend's dad has a chevelle that runs 13's on street tires and it's bagged.

sicones 12-03-2005 08:34 AM

well that’s a truck, two people I know, one civic with hydraulics, and a $100k accord with airbags, have both just taken that shit out of there car because they ride like shit, tell me airbags are going to ride like a set of koni, or tein, bilstein tuned suspension
I don’t think so...airbags=for show, have you ever seen a track/race car with airbags...come on

silver 12-03-2005 12:27 PM

funny, citroen and landrover had the same thing stock in their cars since at least '86

sicones 12-03-2005 02:08 PM

that looks like an air cylinder, not a bag or a hydro ram

um no actually a chevelle isn't a truck. and apparently you didn't read my post. it runs 13's on street tires. that means it was spinning half way down the track.

fertooos 11-21-2020 07:35 AM

what kind of springs do you have now?

fertooos 11-22-2020 09:01 AM

Hey. We have a very pleasant spring, you don't have to dress warmly, the weather is very good. So it was this year, but what kind of weather will be the next year no one can predict. It's like ordering a free essay. You will not know what the result of the written essay will be until you receive it on your email account. So the weather, no one can know 100% what the weather will be like in 3 weeks.

I'd go for Bilstein Shocks.
