Not that Ive ever heard of a girl actually using that excuse, but why is it that they need to come up with some baseless excuse not to go out with someone (ie me).

"Hey Kelly, are you going to be busy this weekend?
"Yeah, I am."
"Oh alright, what are your plans?" (At this point, so I dont seem like a literal and figurative dick, Im just making conversation)
"um.........(she looks puzzled for like 10 seconds) OH (like she just thought of some bs excuse) Im going to some convension thing with my dad and brothers for napoleon dynamite" (Which I have heard NOTHING about)
"Oh alright, that could be pretty fun. What about the other day?" (since there are 2 damn days in the weekend)
"Uhm.......(another 5 second thought delay) Going to buy bedroom furniture; because we're moving"
(Well at least that could be legit...if not its at least imaginative).
"Well that sounds like loads of fun...guess I'll see you in class next week then"
"Sure, sorry (about making up some story so I didnt have to hang out with you outside class, because I dont have to copy any math notes)

Im not exactly upset about being rejected, only upset about the fact that I dont deserve a real answer. I mean, I can take a "no thanks" or a "get lost" or even "With you?! HA!" Its a lack of respect...

well i got the same problem right now also. she claims to really really like me. but she wont come hang out with me and my friends. i dont get it. i hung out with her, just the two of us. but whatever.

And a convention for Napoleon Dynamite? What the fuck kind of excuse is that? I've never seen a whole convention for a single movie. Besides...that movie isn't nearly as good as most people think...so if she really was going to a whole convention for it, I'd question her taste and intelligence.

Yeah, liars piss me off. If i'm interested in a girl and try to make plans with her and she lies about what she's doing, I don't feel bad at all. Sure i got rejected, but i also don't want to be associated with liars. They are single-handedly the #1 thing on my list of things that piss me off.

I got this excuse " well I just got a new work schedulle,(eventhough hes not working for two days) and i like this one. "im kinda sick and i wouldnt want you to catch anything" Why can he just say he doesnt wanna hang out with me hed rather do something else. I dont know but I feel like shit.;(

I think the bigger issue here is that he's insane. Seriously...what kind of guy wouldn't wanna go out with you, Anna? I'll tell you what kind of guy...a crazy one.

Really though, I've never dated much so I didn't go through all of the BS you people go through..but I've had some friends in high school that gave out excuses like "oh sorry I can't...it's my mom's birthday" more than 5x in a given school year. well i havent dated much..at all.ive had the same girl since highschool about 3 and half years.but if a girl came up with such an abvious excuse like that i would prolly just laugh and say some lame ass excuse myself

i think people that have to make stupid excuses instead of saying the truth (when it comes to dating) either dont want to offend the person which i sorta understand or are just liars and cant say what they really want to say (which arent worth your time anyways)

I walked in, she was talking to her friend, and asked her how the convention and furniture shopping went.
"What? .......OH...it was ok."
"Uh huh. You know, Im glad we didnt hang out...I dont have time to deal with bitches who come up w/ bullshit excuses."

After that she just totally stopped talking to me and left w/o saying anything, 15 minutes into class.

I think the best I ever heard was my sophomore year in highschool when I actually worked up the nerve to ask the girl who starred in the wet dreams of every guy in the school to home coming. This girl was a cheerleader, class president senior year, normally only dated football player (I wasn't one) basically so far out of my league it was impressive that I was able to stand next to her without protective eye wear on...

anyway the conversation went like this

me: So (insert name of unbelievably hot girl here) what are you doing for homecoming?
her (with that puzzled who is this guy and why is he talking to me look on her face): I'm....uh....just... going with.... some friends....hey I gotta go now....

it should be noted we were walking to the same classroom which we were about 10 feet away from at the time...

I remember back in college one of the guys who had flirted bunches with me in class was talking about a party which i was also planning on attending... after class i asked him if he wanted to go with me and hes like "Im not even sure if i was ganna go i just heard about it... but with class and stuff.. (blah blah blah)" Well I saw him there with this very ugly (not that im that wonderful but she was ugly) chick i knew.. he came over and was like "I made it".. I looked at my date and then looked at him and was like "Damn.. too bad" and walked away
