h23a1 q
they didnt have oil squirters stock did they?
nope, thats something you're supposed to add when doing a h23vtec setup, and probably other various vtec parts like an oilpump.
OR slap the stock head on and boost it! lol ;) |
my block that bought had them in it.
so how wouldi go about ordering new ones? the old ones arent in good shape. |
Squirters? Feh...wiseco pistons!
they still need the squiters. they help keep the risk of crank walk down.
the h23a1 and h22a1 blocks are identical excempt the internals and the stamp on it hence why you have the holes for the squirters that dont work, i remeber someone getting them to work, not sure how though.
ill figure it out.
How do squirters affect crank walk?
the better the lube at higher RPMS keeps it from heating up and cuasing the walk.
How high are you planning to take this?
7k rpms.
are H blocks really that much weaker than B?
I mean, I'll be going 8k on the b18b and have absolutely no concerns about no squirters. But I really know nothing about H series |
the h23 block is shit for high revving. its max is 7K. and if do this i might accidently go over that mark so i dont want to risk shit.
better safe then sorry yea kno. |
yeah thats true
thanks for the info |
you can only rev it to 7k? mine stock does 7600 at fuel cutoff, maybe 7200 at redline. ive herd of people getting h22s upto 9k without any problems, but you need a good head to do that. the head will give before the block
true, the h23 block can rev higher, but not as safe as the h22.
