Like I said in your other post, your car looks very clean. I'm not a fan of the wing, but hey, to each his own.
Nice job  |
actually...i like the wing...i think it compliments the car...i saw one the other day at the mall that was atleast 2 feet off the trunk...and no..i'm not joking...

Thank you. I just didn't think the car looked finished without the wing...i think civics need somthin back there to make it look....fuller. :) my friend has a 97' civic with a 13 inch wing on it...and, eh....it doesn't look bad, but i don't like it as high. |
not to bad......dont like the wing....clean
chris |
I normally like the wings on cars, but I dont really like it on ur ride. But whatever flies with u.
I like more of a... subtle wing for more "Stock" looking cars. Perhaps like a factory wing. Or a simple ITR wing. |
wing kills it.
|
Well, this is proven to be completely an opinion....but for me and my car... the wing makes it (looks wise)
|
i hate it when people call them wings...isn't it more correct to call it a rear spoiler?? hell, i'd even prefer, pressure pusher forcer downer thing-a-muh-bob..
|
Very nice.. Id invest in the OEM chin spoiler for it, and youll be set in the looks department.
Ill sell you one thats cracked real cheap!;( Atleast they arent to expensive... I hate winter! |

can you post a link to a site that has it? I would like to see what it looks like. Thanks |

i agree fully.. i don't like it. |
how does a 16 year old afford that car? dont tell me saving lunch money either

well, if you look at it like this.... Parents buy the car. He works a lot to buy those misc. items for his car, SHABAM! there ya go. pretty easy ya? or you can look at it like this..... he's an in-town drug dealer/pimp who's business is booming and with his side earnings from the job, he gives the ho's the better high heels, the drugs more sparkles to make it look more..... tasty i guess, and with all the rest of his 8,000 dollars he buys a car with a bunch of upgrades and hope he doesn't get audited. but..... i could be wrong, all together. |
Civics really arent that expensive. All hes done to it is dropped it, added some rims and bolted on a wing.
|
no operatic, if you was a pimpin/drug dealer he'd be drivin a big ass escalade with dubs.
my bet is he had some parental help, but pays for everything else. unless of course he's like 80% of the 16yr olds that were at my highschool and were complaing that their parents bought them a civic and didnt buy them a bmw. wow.... I'm wierd about wings. if I see a fwd car rolling down the street with a wing, I immediatly think rice, but after I see it more often, It gives a kinda cool look. I'd still prefer a low rise stock looking spioiler, like the ones that come on certain ex's. |

when i was 16 i had a prelude with rims/intake/exaust/and a full interior that was 100% paid for by me. it is possible, hell when i was 17 i had my current prelude the way it is now. i worked my ass off since i was 15 though |
yeah, it's really not that hard i bought my car when i was 16 all by me......but yeah i did work alot ...
|
Ok guys....you all can stop guessing now....i'll tell ya....i liked the drug dealer pimp guess tho.
My grandpa bought the car for me for 8k. I had saved my money for my whole life in this one account. literaly all of it. I did spend some on movies....but, i did save a lot of it...i saved up a lot fo money... 3.3k for the mods and 2k for the sound system. thats about it. I know its just a civic, and its not fast compared to preludes, and some other cars....but for a civic....its fast. And around here where theres not a lot of import tuners my car is considered fast. There too types of people where i live...the yuppies that drive corvettes and ferraris, then there are the complete ricers that have no engine woerk, just a muffler and lotsa stickers. theres not in between, besides me and my friend, we're the only 'in between' tuners, that put the parts on ourselves, and go toward performance a lil more than the looks. |
in the bay area? are you kidding? bay area prelude has so many members.
|

that didn't make sense, what? |
oh oh oh, i think i get what yur sayn....yea, but not in my part of the bay area, i'm in Marin where all the hippies are...lol. so, no one like cars, hah.
|
u shitting me? 3.5k for mods? .. what mods would that be?
super duper uper looper rims? |
What?
Umm, my dad bought me the wheels and the tires. maybe thats what you mean, heh. EDIT: the rims gost 120 each, adn the tires cost 100 each. |

TeriyakiBroccoli is asking u wat da hell did u spend the 3.5k on? wat mods?? |
on spiralmax :D :D just kiddin
|
lol, thanks for clarifying. I should've looked at his mod list.. I dunno how it adds to 3500 tho.
Jesus I'd swap with that money, **** the rest of that puny shit. I hear that tornado fuel saver thing can sometimes get sucked into your intake manifold. |
Quote:
yeah, he has lot of misc. stuff , i would gone for some major mods, like for engine swap , or if he's all bout looks he should go for body kit....but it's his car and his money... Quote:
yeah i've head lot of negative stuff bout it too... |
i spent the money on all the stuff thats in my mod list....so i spent bout 5.5k on the cars mods.
its a first car, if i could do it over, i'd get a swap prolly. |
