Light cheap rims?

Anyone know any good rims that are both light and inexpensive?

Rota makes some light/cheap wheels :) What car do you have?

Racing Rice 04-10-2003 07:08 AM

Rota makes the lightest and cheapest rims that I know of.

Konig Heliums are definately one of the lightest rims out there...under 15lbs for 17" and 12lbs" for a 15"
(come in Bronze and Silver)

But I recommend all Rotas too

I really like these too. Unlike rota they have a better selection for offsets. They are pretty nice wheels. Not quite as cheap as rotas, but very worth the money IMO.

Centerline wheels. 19" 15.5 lbs  too bad they have a limited selection for fwd cars

WTF wants 19s on a civic.. ;) *jfwy*

turbowhat_n_dat 05-07-2003 12:32 AM

I'd like 19's on my civic, some 20's would be nice too. Slide some Lexani's up under her and glide.

Anyway, I have some 4x100 Rota Attack's that I want to part with. Two of them have Falken tires with about 1/4 tread, need $600.00 for the set.

Rota's are not the best quality wheel on the market, a local shop in town sells them like hotcakes at a McDonalds though. The clear coat will flake off within 1-2 years, if you plan to was your car with high pressure, such as at a car wash, don't purchase Rota's. All we here around this area is complaints about them peeling. However they sell like hotcakes, so do what you must and want.

Here is the link to the shop, they are the hottest dealer for Rota wheels in the US.

if you cared about your car WHY would you machine wash it?

Rota's are nice wheels but you get what you pay for.

Machine wash and High pressure washing are two different things. If you go to a car wash you would realize this probably. Any lowered car with a kit on it most likely wont fit into a machine wash which have rails (Wisconsin). However, when you take it to a high pressure facility, it is just that, high pressure.

Guess not everyone has the time to spend hand washing there ride all day like you and I do!!!!

Rota wheels are ok, but, you do pay for quality, as a matter of fact, most of the 4x100 rota wheels have imprint markings that read 5x100.

my rotas survived an accident. the wheel took the majority of the impact and didnt bend.

i got more than i paid for.

I got mine for less then this shop... I love my Circuit 8's... no problems with them what so ever. Of course if you go cheap when buying chrome you're going to have problems... But I'm not a chrome person, so it really doesn't matter to me.
