B16DoHcCrx033003 02-15-2004 10:45 PM

might as well buy a garden hose from the dollar tree......

IALuder 02-15-2004 10:50 PM

why buy name brand?

for the name?

you get the same amount of HP from all intakes. its the filter that gives the power.

B16DoHcCrx033003 02-15-2004 10:52 PM

also the how smooth the inside of the tube is, if you have sand paper in one and then one that u could sled on, that ones going to work way better

IALuder 02-15-2004 10:53 PM

well maybe this intake isnt like sand paper and if it is would i be able to smooth it out?

B16DoHcCrx033003 02-15-2004 10:54 PM

ah i wasnt saying that it is, i have no clue but i would ask thermal, hes an expert...

IALuder 02-15-2004 10:58 PM

well find out when i get it.

ChrisCantSkate 02-17-2004 03:35 PM

i wouldnt. we've tested at the track no name short rams vs. aem short ram vs ice man cold air vs. aem cold air and aem came out on top on multipule runs on both short ram and cold air tests.

In terms of intakes and exhaust...eBAY...Sh!t..trust me you get what you paid for...Sometimes you pay for more than you get...Sh!pping is a B!tch.

No way. Much R&D goes into the tubing design. Granted its not going to make a HUGE difference, but why not get the most gain you can?

IALuder 02-17-2004 10:37 PM

so honda man what do you charge for a AEM intake?

4g63t 02-22-2004 01:50 AM

If you want a cia, then get an intercooler cia. I think that would be pretty cool for a n/a application.
I'd buy a aem intake though.

Ok, intakes are intakes, there are no intakes that are Vastly superior to other brands - as long as the pipe is metal and the filter will not fall apart immediately, then buy it.

IMO< intakes are Ghey

IALuder 02-22-2004 02:51 PM

so you dont have a intake?

whats your set up a Filter on the AFM.

IALuder 02-27-2004 07:14 PM

well i got Ebay intake and i installed and it works just fine. i have that loud ass roar now to. i love the purr my motor makes. my car also picks up a lot faster.

we compared my intake tube to a injen tech tube and the only difference we could tell me the injen badge and the color. the inside of the tube was smooth and polished. the intake also came with a KN filter.
