Hell no ....Go with the HF ....If your planning on racing it and doing a motor swap your better off with the HF or DX.....They are alot lighter than the si....Also go 90 or 91 there isnt to much difference in them actually 88-91 were all the same. Except for a few minor things here and there......I have a 90 Dx with motor swap and it runs like a champ.....It beats my freinds Si with a swap with no problem.....

diligent_dave 10-13-2002 02:40 PM

Yeah if you're going pure race the hf is the way to go. It's lighter than the other models. Less weight = faster. :)

If you want to look cool while being still pretty quick get the si. It's got that neato sunroof. :bandit:

KwikR6 10-13-2002 03:00 PM

See I kinda missed the fact that he was racing...
Racing=no sunroof=less weight

crxb16hybrid 10-13-2002 04:42 PM

Ahhhhhh very good daniel son....Wasnt sure if you caught that ....Oh and by the way was that your car derek? The black one with the fin......If so its lookin sweet brother....

KwikR6 10-13-2002 07:03 PM

NOpe...but mine is black....going with a different wing...

crx_sam 10-13-2002 07:59 PM

if i have the dx with a b16, exhaust, intake, headers what kind of times could i see?

crxb16hybrid 10-14-2002 07:27 AM

Probally som where in the 12s I would say>....I havent actually ran mine in the 1/4 yet but in an 1/8 I run low 9s high 8s....

crx_sam 10-14-2002 12:35 PM

alright thanks alot guys this site is pretty cool, i don't know if i am going to go with the HF or the Si. it seems like there are more parts out there for the Si but it sounds like the HF can do the 1/4 faster????:paranoid:

It can because its lighter...but if you want options...go Si

diligent_dave 10-14-2002 11:42 PM

crxb16hybrid:

low 9s high 8s in the 1/8 usually translate to mid to high 13's. At least, that's what I see the b16 crxs running at the tracks down here.

crxb16hybrid 10-15-2002 09:48 AM

Yeah I hopping to break into the 12s when I finally run it ......I added a few more bolt ons so hopefully I can hit mid to high 12s.....Dam that seems slow.....Plus my local track sucks real bad ....

If your gonna go with the hf you can get just as many after market parts for that car ....But if your not planning on doing a motor swap I gess go with the si.....
