He's a pound puppy. We picked him up yesterday. He's a pitbull, but I don't know if he's full blooded or not. His name is Brody.

awesome, every time i see a baby pit i want one. just make sure to train him well cause they LOVE to get into shit

Racing Rice 01-29-2008 10:18 AM

Yeah, I know.. This is the second one I've had, the ex-wife took the first one in the divorce. Brody is still adapting to the new environment, so he's really laid back and has just been sleeping most of the time. Once he is a bit more adjusted, I'll start clicker training him. He's about 12 weeks old, and there were 7 pups from the same litter in there with him. He wasn't as aggressive as the rest. I don't think he ate as much because of it. Most of the other pups were quite a bit larger. He's been eating REALLY good at the house though and luckily doesn't show any signs of food aggression, hell... He doesn't show any aggression towards much of anything at this point. lol Though my girlfriend said he was tossing around a stuffed animal today for a little while. Hopefully some food and good sleep will give him a little more energy. They said all of the pups were really emaciate when they came in.

Some people just should not own dogs.

word up! it's beautiful

ebpda9 01-29-2008 07:10 PM

that puppy is awesome. i wish i could have one, but living in a condo and 2 jobs and 5 classes goin on the same time would cause me to neglect him.

Racing Rice 01-30-2008 08:50 AM

Thanks guys..

Stephen I can understand that. Thats kinda how I felt after the divorce.. I wanted to keep one of our dogs at least, but knew I wasn't going to be home enough to take care of one. My current girlfriend works from home, so she's with it all day and I'm home with it in the evenings when she goes to school. So he gets plenty of attention.

Here's a new picture we've had him just over a month and he's doubled in size..

OMG soooooooo flippin cute!

why oh why cant i find a good owner like you for my girl? :;;;;;sigh::::::::::

if ya know of anyone looking for a dog, i am still tryiing to rehome my dad australian cattle dog. she recently passed her canine good citien test, and finished her second level obedience class. Up to date on all vaccines and is spayed. I am actually willing to fly or drive her to the right home.

Racing Rice 03-04-2008 09:18 AM

I'll keep my ears open for you. Unfortunately at the moment I don't know anyone looking for another pet. How old is she?

ohiochica 03-04-2008 12:36 PM

4 years old.........she suffered alot of neglect in her previous life. She was kennelel outside in a 12x 12 pen with miimum food and NO human interaction. all she had for playmates were fellow mice. (and yes she played with them!) when i found her, her cage had 3-4 inches of feces in it! sad sad sad.
This is why i am going after legislation that would force the dog wardens into enforcing the judges verdict when they say a person is to NEVER own animals again. Her owner had 3 counts of starving a dog to death, and they allowed him to register 7 dogs! where is that justice?

Racing Rice 03-14-2008 12:58 PM

See I've never understood how they let people like that get pets. Pitbulls are a banned breed in some places, but ignorant humans aren't. How does that make any sense. We are suppose to be the more advanced species.
